EIA: US On-Highway Retail Diesel Falls below $4 Gallon
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- Energy Information Administration data show the
U.S. average on-highway diesel fuel price continued lower for a second week,
down 2.3cts to $3.992 gallon as of today, 8.5cts below the corresponding week
in 2023.
DTN's national diesel fuel rack average eroded further week-on-week, sinking
15.36cts to $2.6692 gallon as of today.
EIA reports lower prices across all major PADDs, with the Rocky Mountain
PADD 4 posting the largest decline of the PADDs for a second straight week. The
PADD 4 price slid 7.3cts to $3.883 gallon, 24.1cts below a year ago.
At the West Coast PADD 5 the on-highway retail diesel price dropped 4.1cts
to $4.661 gallon, while the Gulf Coast PADD 3 price eased 0.3cts to $3.707
gallon. Agency data show the Midwest PADD 2 price point down 3cts at $3.935
gallon and the East Coast PADD 1 price 2.1cts lower at $4.047 gallon.
